This site is incredible. I did a search on "frozen clutch" and found several useful discussions. One of the suggestions worked so well for my situation, that I thought it best to repost it for others to use.
My '69 (named greeny) had not been run for over a year while I was restoring the body. When I went to drive it, it started just fine (new gas) but the clutch was froze. It would not go down more than an eighth of inch. To fix it, I put rear up on jacks, started the car in 3rd gear (make sure not in 4 wheel), and depressed the brakes and clutch intermittentaly. After messing with it about 30 seconds, it broke loose and has been fine since. I assume the slave cylinder was stuck/rusted.
