I'm taking another break, just got back from Carquest which is where I bought the GD thing. It is the right one, it even lists for a 3B, I just don't get it. I feel in the hole and it just doesn't seem like it should fit, the element seems like it is touching the opposite wall, I;m about to forget the hole thing.

Please help

This is the hole I'm in, the one the arrow is pointing too, it is starting to bug me

I dunno, I was just out seeing if it would go in any other way but 12 O clock, (thats also what the instructions say) and I got the O ring to fit in perfect with the element 9 O clock. So I think i;m leaving it.

What do you guys think? as long as she works and doesn't leak right?

right you are. Perhaps oem is the way to go that is what i did. It was $23 at toyota. Don't know about car quest?

The one I got is supposed to be the same as an OEM one, but thats what they always say. it was only 20 cdn so, I just hope it hold coolent.

cheers

grease the o ring and use a long punch and tap the sucker in...
works for me...
napa sells a very good after market unit.
cheers

the car quest one is the same unit, I just happen to get a discount at carquest, because a good friend of mine dad working in the machine shop. He sees alot of motor come in and out of there. When I showed him the Land Cruiser he said "hummm, never seen a motor like that come in" I said "thats because they never need to be rebuilt".

too bad it is more like its because there were only 600 made for canada in 86.

I dunno, it is the one in the picture, I figured it was the same unit

holy crap, thats retarded, too bad people don't actually know what a good truck is there would have been one in every house!!!
