Speaking of gaskets, I'm planning on just dropping the coin for an OEM lockstrip windshield gasket from Toyota. My windshield ALWAYS leaks severely whenever it rains, and it didn't used to be nearly as bad before I got the one-piece gasket. Now that we know of a silicon lockstrip that's available I'll just use that instead of the chrome stuff, being sure to seal the inside of the gasket (the portion against the sheet metal) with some glazing compound before installing the new lockstrip.
