I'm in the process of swapping a FJ60 under my 40. The rig is SUA, non-SR with 4" BDS springs with a couple leaves removed. Since I'm outboarding the spring and shackle hangers would it not be possible to move the spring hangers forward say .5" - 1" to improve shackle angle on the front? Wouldn't this give better flex & better ride (not that really mtters much anymore)? What problems might this cause?

My shackle now are near vertical with one spring leaf removed and it doesn't flex for anything.

Thanks,
Mike

longer driveshaft and brakeline potentially, but the benefits outweigh the issues..
