having a lot of difficulty with this annoying problem; but first the nomenclature.
My 1997 Factory FSM (Canadian for LX450) page 'SA-42' shows the diagram for (front components) the 'Stabilizer Bar' .... at both ends the Stabilizer Bar has an eye. The FSM illustration shows, as a seperate component, what it refers to as a 'Stabilizer Bar Bushing' (as well as a bolt and nut) that is intended to be inserted into the eye (one for each end of the Stabilizer Bar) .....

To reiterate the name given by the FSM to this part is 'Stabilizer Bar Bushing' .... which is NOT to be confused with the another pair of bushings called a 'Cushion' by the FSM (a pair of split 'D' shaped rubber grommets) that surround the Stabilizer bar and is held by a 'Cover' attached to the 'Stabilizer Bar Link' .

My problem is that every search I make for the 'Stabilizer Bar Bushing' ... turns up these darn 'Cushions' ...

While I do want to purchase 2 'Cushions' for the bar as well ... I real need these end components ('Stabilizer Bar Bushing')as passenger side end has no bushing material remaining and makes an annoying bang every time the Stabilizer Bar is brought into action.

Any help -- and source/part numer would be appreciated

(I am hoping ... since my FSM indicates that the 'Stabilizer Bar Bushing' is a 'non-reusable part' that I can source it without having to change the entire Stabilizer Bar)

thanks!!

thank you!! .... are the front and rear stabilizer bar bushings the same then? .. The illustration for the "wits End' kit suggests that is the case...

Sorta. One bar is a little bigger diameter than the other.

Here are the part numbers and quantities that you need for the sway/stabilizer bar bolts/bushings front and rear. You can use these parts numbers to find pictures/prices of these for identification on sites like partsouq.com. Buying them all in a kit from 80s specific vendors like wits-end is always good for all of us though:

Nut94180-410004
Bolt, front stabilizer90101-101724
Collar, stabilizer bar90560-102754
BUSH,STABILIZE 90385-110214
BUSH, FRONT STABILIZER BAR, NO.148815-600702
BUSH, STABILIZER(FOR REAR)48815-260202

I suggest you purchase the bolts, collars and nuts as well. The collars on my were rusted to the bolts. Had to cut them off.
