Installed Bilstein 5100 in front. Nothing fancy. '13 GX460 premium.
I read that straining the ABS sensor was easy, I definitely may have strained the wire as I forgot to put a jack under it when I popped the UCA.
So the ABS and Traction make sense.
But why is AFS not engaging and Center diff lock flashing? It engages 4 lo but diff light just flashes now. Button does not change anything.
Is this related or a new issue?

I turned the KDSS scews open 2 turns like was suggested and I was able to get everything in and out as planned. 3rd perch from bottom for 1.7" front lift. Rear bags as is.

Have not driven it yet. Tomorrow I'll open up the abs sensor wire and see if I can solder any breaks.

May be another issue on CDL but if front ABS sensors are broken that can affect AFS operation.

IMO: Long term you are probably going to want to get Techstream setup or OBD Link to pull codes.

Unfortunately the 4WD ECU that controls the CDL and 4H/4L actuators doesn't throw codes in 10-19 models. You have to test terminal connections. I will have to double check but this may have finally changed with the '20+ models.

Thanks!
I have an OBD reader, I'll try that. Of course, I know what I touched and when i popped the UCA ball joint the assembly fell down and hung from the wire and I knew. I'd have to deal with the sensor.

So the center diff lock is flashing just because its an associated module?

I'll see if a wire repair works and report back.

If I need to get the part ordered I assume it's ok driving on it? Just no abs?

ABS failures can disable some systems or even cause limp mode. If things clear up after fixing the ABS issue we will just have to say associated... if not then there is second issue.

As long as you have a reader that can read extended Toyota/Lexus codes you should get the codes related to ABS/VSC. If nothing shows up then reader is not able to to query those ECUs.

I think generally fine driving but do remember a few that reported limp mode but that could have been other issues as well.

Mine probably doesn't. It's just an odb2 reader with Torque.
Since you're the one to know, I read in a few posts (surprised there weren't more based on how easy it is to screw up) that a zero point calibration was recommended after any suspension change. Seems odd to me but I'm used to working on older, simpler cars.

Do you agree?

I believe it depends on how high lift but generally see it recommended. It's easy to do with a paper clip on 10-19 models. OBD port loses some active pins '20+ so those owners will need to use Techstream

Same thing as when you add Crawl Control

Closing the loop to help anyone in the future. Found the break in the ans sensor wire, Zoldered it back together, heat shrink. May buy a replacement. All lights gone. Everything working fine.
That answers the question: abs is part of a module that controls many other things so when the wire is cut, all lights come on.

I had the same thing happen to my truck when a shop lifted it. It was the the ABS sensor wire that they nicked. Replace it and it will fix itself quickly.

Is it actually that simple? I get nervous when the instructions are basically just "stick 2 paper clips into this connector and touch them together to fix your Lexus" lol.

It is…. Just pay attention to the orientation of the OBD port because some diagrams show port wide side up and under the dash it is actually wide side bottom.

You can always use Techstream to do the ZPC as well. That is how I did it on mine.

Another way to do this is to get a male OBDII pigtail and add a simple toggle switch to the two wires corresponding with the ZPC OBDII pins. Then just plug the assembly into the OBDII port and use the switch to perform the ZPC, instead of fiddling with the paper clip. I made one of these and threw it under my seat.

I have had the AFS light on ever since my lift 4 years ago. I've tried readjusting, removing, jiggling, R&R and I just can't fix it.
But to tell the truth, that light has never really bothered me. It's usually hidden behind the bottom of the speedo needle so it usually obscured from sight.
I never really even think about. Yeah, some day I'd like to have it taken care of but it's pretty low in the to-do list.
