After a good faith search effort, I've resorted to consulting the forum as my front passenger window worked intermittently -- until today -- when it went completely inop. The trouble started about a week ago when I discovered I was only sometimes able to lower the window using the driver-side control, however, had to use the passenger-side control to raise. Then, I lost the ability to control the front passenger window from the driver's side all together. Today, I cracked the window using the passenger control and am now unable to raise the window with either the driver or passenger control. Is this indicatory of a switch, regulator, or motor? If anyone knows of a relevant thread, a link is greatly appreciated, otherwise, please excuse the intrusion, as I'm new to the game and am attempting to become more adept. I've clearly got some work to do. Thanks, Gents.

Check the wiring at the door hinge. There's a rubber loom containing all of the wiring running to the door from the body. Over time, the insulation on the wires can get brittle, crack and short. Take off the door panel and any electrical tape to expose the wiring in the loom. Check each wire for any exposed copper and tape it up.

Thanks, Lab. I did't see any cracked/damage wiring. I think I might have to outsource this one. I'm planning to take to Village Exxon as I saw on here that they have some expertise with cruisers. Can you recommend anyone in the RVA area? Thanks.

Same thing happened to mine and I replaced the switch panel with an aftermarket one from eBay for $17 shipped. Took a while to arrive from China but it fixed all the issues.

Note: The switch I received only had auto down, but not auto up. Not sure if the factory 100 switch had auto up also.

After having a couple local places try to take me for a ride, I started doing all my own work. I dealt with Decatur's garage a few times when I lived in Bellevue. Not the cheapest or the fastest, but always honest.

What year is yours? If it's the same part as my '98, we could always swap mine in there to see if it fixes your issue.
