Hey everyone,

I’m running into something a bit confusing and wanted to ask if anyone here has seen this before.

I just bought replacement bearings for the front knuckle ball of my Toyota. I ordered them as original replacement parts from Megazip, with the correct part number (edit: wrong, its actually another part number). The thing is, when I compared the new bearing to the one I pulled out of the vehicle, I noticed a size difference.

The original bearing I removed is a Koyo TR0305A, and it measures 10.3 mm in height. The outer ring this is without the bearing.

The new replacement bearing I received is a Koyo TR0305C high cap, and its ring measures 11.0 mm in height.

My questions are:

  • Has anyone else come across this difference before?
  • Is this a known update/change (maybe Toyota switched to the TR0305C as a replacement)?
  • Most importantly, is it safe to install and use the TR0305C, or should I stick to finding a TR0305A?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences you might have.

Thanks in advance!

Ive just realized and seen that it actually is not the same part number after all.

Original: 90366-17001
The one i bought: 90366-17007

So the question which is standing can it be used or not?
I found these dimensions. Original 90366-17001
1756103765703.webp

Replacement Part:

1756103824651.webp

So will the outer Ring difference create any issues?

Regards
