Pitting on knuckle housing (1 Viewer)

I bought a 1980 FJ40 front axle with factory disk brakes to replace the drum brake axle on my 1982 FJ45.

Started the tear down of the "new" axle, will be doing a complete rebuild. Once 45 years of dirt and grime were removed, I found this pitting on the knuckle housings. Is this anything to be concerned about? Thanks .

I wouldn’t be concerned.

Thanks, Brian. Didn’t want to go through the time and cost of rebuilding the insides if the outside was maybe compromised so figured it was better to ask.
