Front Drive Shaft wear... (1 Viewer)

Here's the setup:
86 FJ60-2.5 BDS lift w/1 lift shackles/33X12.5X15


This last weekend we hosted the Southern Cruiser Crawl at Gray Rock. I was trail leader for most of the Med. trails we ran. Today I went to pressure wash some of the mud from the event off the truck, while under the truck I notice my front drive shaft has a worn ring around it. After getting home I see the ring has been worn in by the tranny crossmember. Appearently the front is flexing enough to allow the shaft to drop & rub the crossmember.

Has anyone else experinced this?

If so what approach did you take to remedy it.....
-cut part of the cross member
-extend bump stops
-idea's?

It's a common problem. Most folks seem to cut away some of the crossmember.
