Front drive lines 67 to 74 same or different?

Anyone know if the front DL out of a 74 (4sp) can be bolted into a 67 with 3sp?

Are you talking about the front drive shaft?


If so, no, it cannot....unless you change the companion flange on the front diff and the front output of the transfer case and then have it shortened…as the front drive shaft of a four speed Land Cruiser is longer than the front drive shaft of a three speed Land Cruiser.

Yah, just from taking a quick look it appeared quite a bit longer...shucks.
