My bad, the picture I posted is for transfer case and not for front Diff?
So would GL-5 80W90 with LSD b OK for front differential?
Thanks
You mean 7/16" ?10 mm allen head socket didn't fit for me. I used 5/16" ....and a generous amount of PB blaster .... and a breaker bar
Dealers have no time for torque settings. Rattle gun everything. Destroying underbelly bolts, drain plugs, wheel bolts, etc.I'm going to ask what is probably a really dumb question....if the torque setting for these is 35 to 36 ft-lbs, why does it practically take a breaker bar to take off the fill and drain plugs? Pretty sure they've never been removed or, knowing who the PO was he had the dealer do it previously.
Any thoughts?
It would be great if we knew what size the filler/drain plug was some say 10mm some 5/16 some say 15/16. I need to purchase the correct one.
@NLXTACY sells the plug kit here: OEM Magnetic Differential Plug Kit
As well as a kit for the T-Case/Trans
Im sorry i meant i need to purchase the right allen wrench. The link looks like it verifies the 10mm hex wrench.
Just a little tip... don't put the magnetic plug in the fill hole. Some idiot did that and ruined two perfectly good days.

Umm, just to be clear. Are you referring to the deep plug that sticks further into the diff? The low profile ones are immune to that.
