Anyone know the front differential fill and drain bolt size? None of my sockets fit, and I need to go buy one but don't want to get one the wrong size. Would really appreciate it!

24mm (like allmost Toyota diff (same on my 1992 Corolla 4wd))


...but 15/16 can help to.

funny thing is I think I might need to use the 15/16 now. Since I rounded the bolt off with the 24 and a impact wrench. Either that or weld another bolt to it so i can get it off.

Alright-no one said it yet.....6 point socket only. 12 point sockets suck, and will round off your plug. Get a 24mm impact socket, a breaker bar and a cheater pipe. Pull the fill plug first, so you don't drain and then cannot refill.

Its also the same size for your transfer case.....6pt only!

Don't forget, only use a 6pt socket!

GEEEeeezus... how much do I pay attention to this board..?

I bought myself a 12 pt 24mm socket last weekend and then read the above and freaked.

I have since searched high and low and after 3 days found myself a 6pt 24mm socket.

It lives in my toolbox now.
