Front Bumper Project

nice bumper,you got me thinking about starting mine sooner than i thought i would but it will be cheaper than some of the other mods i have in the plans, this is what i will be building for my 62... i will be putting a winch on in the near future. made this design in Paint Program.....import your pic to paint and then just draw on it until you got something.get to build stuff before you spend any $.I will be starting a thread next week with pics on the buildup

So what do you guys think?

I was comparing my result with 2mbb's results and I think mine is probably like an inch lower than his and I ended up with a gap below the valence. I used 2x5 tube and he used a 2x6 and also offset the tube so that it sits higher. If I had to do it over againthe I would move the bumper up on the D-ring plates.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the outcome for such a low cost...now I just need to fix some body stuff.

I welded some 2x6 to the top of the stock location and made some cuts in it to suck it back and up... Worked great. I'll see if I can dig up the pics.

By the way... great job on the bumper.

Wow, that looks interesting. What bumper is that...4+? Do you have a shot from the front?

Broken parts, i like the clearance you are getting with that bumper and also those front hangers
