Front bumper bolt mounts tweaked from previous accident, what do I do? (2 Viewers)

I ordered a welder for other stuff, can I buy these parts and weld them on or do I have to take it to a body alignment shop and have them tweak it back in place??

I also don't have a front bumper for them to line it up to, I kinda plan on getting a metal winch bumper. But also interested in going back to a stock bumper with a hidden winch .

What would you guys do? Can I work around this with an ARB front bumper? I think it mounts from the inside of the two protruding frame arms.

The frame is in good shape by the way, just these bolt "pads" that are fckd

I'm trying to remember, if I recall the ARB subframe may be able to work around those end bolts / mount since it uses a large packing bolt through the frames top hole ( If I remember correctly) I will try to find pics / how-to since it's been a while

Looks like the subframe doesn't rely on your tweaked bolts / mounting area. Seemingly slides up and over all that and uses that long sleeve / packing bolt

Seems to me like you have a solid excuse to buy an ARB front bumper

Looks like someone has been in there before unless you were the one that used a cutoff wheel to remove the pad and applied the booger weld.

For an ARB bumper, and probably most after market bumpers, those pads have to be sawed off anyway.
You could dpwnload the installation instructions for any bumper you might be interested in to verify.

Im pretty sure thats not accurate, it depends on the model year ...I did not need to cut anything on my 2002 to install my arb.. . As noted above the arb bumper subframe slides over that.

I have a TJM similar to the ARB and dont believe those are used in the mounting of the bumper. Since you have a welder you could probably cut those off, put them in a vice and get them back to reasonable shape and then reweld them back on.

1. If I remember correctly they are a little lop sided from the factory. Maybe not that much but some. I wouldn't change them at all until you have the bumper support brace to bolt on (if you decide to put a factory bumper back on)

2. @scubadoober said, looks like someone has been there already. Good eye.

3. I didn't have to cut those off when I mounted my Ironman bumper on my 2006. I would put an offer road bumper on.
