@David Otero or @crikeymike, has anyone fitted one of these bumpers to a LX570? Thanks.
No, not yet. We were just talking about this yesterday. I don't recall the differences in headlights and grille, etc, so I'll have to look it up to see if it will be possible or not.

very impressed with My Dobinsons bumper so far - given that I needed it within a week my options were limited but at the price I think it's a hard option to beat currently..... I also like that the approach angle and overhang seem less then others. They also shipped it out super quick and it was packaged super well and installed easily.....

Weight of the bumper is 171 LBS. Shipping weight was a lot more than that.

The bumper looks really good on there. Can't wait to see some more photos.

Is there something wrong with you website or is it on my end? I can see the homepage fine, but when I try to navigate to Land Cruiser page or Bull Bars, I get a 'Page Not Found'.

Good looking bumper, good price, don't have to cut the factory bumper, and from an American vendor.

Have a feeling these Dobinsons bumpers are going to be popular.

It does look great but it will without a doubt flex and hit the fender on rough roads or if you decide to do any winching. If you strike something, you're more likely to cause more front end damage vs having the required gap you see with an ARB

Sorry for the inconvenience. Australia's website www.dobinsonsprings.com can be used at the moment to look up products. They are working on our site and should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Is that quoted 171 lbs with or without a winch? If that's without a winch the Icons front coil overs are going to be screaming for mercy when you do install a winch and hit some chop on a trail.

The gap for fender to bumper clearance is very important. I smacked mine hard in Ouray (thanks for not calling me out by name earlier @Markuson) and I had the proper spacing + (around 2") and that didn't matter. I had to replace my passenger fender due to that hit. When the frame flexes there will be contact and the body will not win that contest. It was easy enough to have fixed but $$$$....when it counts it will need room to move so please look into that if you are at all concerned. The plastic filler under the headlights will do its job and break away.
not knocking anything I'm just sharing my experience....after all that's why this site is here

You're totally right. The installers may have missed that part about fender adjustment. It's a very common oversight with bumper installs on many brands.

171 LBS is the bumper. Whatever you add to it is in addition. Yeah, these bumpers aren't light, but neither is the vehicle. An 80 LB bumper wouldn't do a lot of protection when it's attached to several thousand pounds behind it at speed. Suzuki Samurai's can get away with a ligher weight bumper, since their overall weight and impact of an object will be less, but the heavier the vehicle, the more support is needed in the design and build of it.

You reckon the Icon coilovers will be screaming? I've seen a few 200's with ARB bumpers, winch, lights, etc, and they seem to be doing ok. They're adjustable too, so you'll want to go back over the information that came with them to see what adjustments are required when adding extra weight. The BP51's give you details when you buy them about settings for different weight/load on the front.

I know the Icons will as I've put 50,000 miles (city / interstate / Trails / Mountains...I'm well versed) on the setup and have worked out a plan to have them re-valved and different rate springs (heavier) installed (over Christmas break)....And to that point, one would need to find a scale and get a front and rear axle weight (s) to see if the load is exceeding or not (as I did and consult with the manufacturer)- each application may be different / variables / components. nothing wrong with the beef of your bumper just think its heavier than mine and I was taken back.
All good

How much does a bare T13 weigh?

Good question and I looked in my LC files but can't find my invoice with the shipping weight. My memory is telling me around 120 lbs bumper and winch tray (not winch though) - I picked it up and installed it by myself. If it was 170 lbs It would have taken more than just me.

OK.

On the ARB, my memory has 141 in it, but no idea if that's right.

On the other hand...my second battery and larger main battery easily make up the difference between those two...

yes but your battery is not overhanging your frame.

You had 2" clearance? Holy crap, what did you hit to make it flex that hard?
