Thinking about installing my ARB front locker myself. Has anyone here installed their own? A co-worker just installed a Detroit on his Taco and basically was a simple straightforward process.

And how are you guys satisfied with ARB lockers?

You don't want to lock the front locker while moving.

You don't want to lock the front locker while moving. The FZJ80 have front and rear lockers from the factory and they are AWD.

Spressoman-If you can stand the drive to Sacramento, there is an outstanding differential guy at River City Differentials. He wheels a Toyota and is "the gear man". He has done at least 6 differentials for me over the years and has done many other local Land Cruisers as well. Stay away from West Coast Differentials. He was able to order parts and fix my FJ40s rear ARB when it got nuked when I broke an axle on the Rubicon (in Old Sluice). $75 instead of $700. I would not try to do this yourself on a dd that you depend on to get to work and other activities. Let me know if you head down this way and maybe we can compare trucks at River City.
