Check the big hose that goes between the AF canister and the intake. You're looking for cracks... usually underneath and in the section that is shaped like a bellows.

Good call, Beo. These get cracked from people pulling up on the AF lid to change the filter instead of doing the right thing which is loosen the throttle body end of it for movement.

Also agree something's up with the search function. Been funky for at least a month.

I didn't see anyone checking to see if the computer is throwing any codes. I'm not sure, but I think the computer can throw codes and store them w/o setting off the CEL.

Also agree that the search is f-ed up. I was looking for a particular post that I knew the exact title of, author, and key words in the thread, and it still didn't come up. I had to look up the complete list of the user's posts and sort through it till I found the thread. It was there, just wouldn't come up in the search.

I did a few searches over the weekend and I believe the search function has developed some new problem. I located specific posts so I knew exactly what words were in the post; then did a search. If the author was cruiserdan the search would NOT find the post.

I suspect a database re-index is needed.

Just made an inquiry into this and hopefully will have some info to report back as soon as available. Been having the same problem glad it wasn't just me.

Yes, I removed TB when I cleaned it. The problem I am having came a couple weeks after the before said service. After cleaning the relay I noticed a big diffrence, but not a total fix. I checked for codes and there are none. Let me try this agian(description of prob. layman) From stopress skinny pedal to half throttle, Truck feels as if only 1/4 throttle is being applied, holding steddy at 1/2 throttle until as if someone threw a switch the truck picks up and runs at 1/2 throttle performance.
Same feel at cruising speed. It only does this 1/3 of the time while driving, where as before the relay cleaning it was 2/3 or all of the time. Problem only exist below half throttle.

I appericate your responses and will keep you posted. ordering wires and FSM today.

Oh, Forgot to mention the intake hose is in perfect condition and tight.

Ordered some parts from toyota:,plug wires,fuel pump relay,pcv valve,pcv valve hose,secondary hose,all 3 service manuals. Soon I will be armed and dangerous. hopefully with the FSM and some new parts and a little help from you guys I will solve my problem.

Well, The only thing I know about JUNK is that his mother seems to get around. Any pics of the mother of JUNK so I can give her a I'd hit it or not vote. With a name like mother of JUNK I am a little scared and may need someone hold me after I see the pics.
