A FJ75 arrived at GSMTR this afternoon which maybe of interest here. It is a LHD FJ75 that was a surplus Marine Corps unit which was eventually released to the public. By the time Kerry picked it up, the truck was in need of some TLC which it appears that he lavished on the truck. I hope the following pictures give justice to how nice this FJ75 now looks.

Hi All:

Wow! Very nice!!

If it is a early 1990s FJ75 supplied by Japan as part of the Operation Desert Shield/Storm action it would have come with a carbed 3F.

It would be tempting to swap in the 3F-E parts from a FJ62 for better overall performance.

Regards,

Alan

Perhaps I am a little slow but am I to understand that this Cruiser is now in civilian hands and is located in Georgia?

Thanks for the reply and please encourage the current owner to post more photos.:)

I think there was about 200 of these including troopies. They were very basic models,no aircon/heating AFAIK.
Ive seen about 5-6 of these make it back to the US.

The U.S. Marine Corp. has a large supply depot about an hour north of me
that supplied a lot of the equipment that has served in the Middle East. It would be interesting to know if any of those Cruisers came through there and if they can now be bought by the public. A friend has bought a few older H1 Humvee's from them that were decommisioned.
