Freeze plug leak? (1 Viewer)

This looks like oil to me. But isn’t this a freeze plug? Or so shotty repair?

@Rustyj41 thats the freeze plug location and that appears to be leaking antifreeze, but that’s an odd looking freeze plug.

All of mine look like the one of yours on the left in this picture you posted. I will try to find a picture of mine.

Could it be a highly corroded block heater?

Block heater ??. Yes, I suppose it could be (not saying it is), but I put a block heater in my 40’s 2f…and as I recall (many years ago) I was instructed to install it in 3rd hole. I believe that one of yours is in the 2nd hole.

If it were mine, I would buy a new correct size freeze plug & just replace what’s leaking…as you are obviously not using it as a block heater.

Here’s a picture of my freeze plugs on that side. Can’t actually see the one in question but they are all the same.
