you could prolly borrow the one out of my blue truck for the trip down...but im not interested in parting with it...so long as u got it back up to my parents place. lemme know and i can give them a heads up if you want to pick it up to borrow. they will still need the tank to move my truck around the yard so....can only be a short term type deal...

i have a spare under the seat tank...

dont listen to seapotato he is the kind of guy who would try to mate a land cruiser with a land rover and then have to deal with joseph lucas the prince of darkness to fix all the electrical bugs.

:flipoff2:

noooooo prince of darkness here...

first thing I did was use a torch to hack out anything mechanical ,second thing was tear out every inch of wire ...

then I made a pile at the end of the driveway of all the excess crap, ie, everything other than body panels and doors, where it all disappeared in a puff of logic.

I may be dumb, but I ain't THAT dumb...:flipoff2:

at present, it's actually 98% functional, and being usefull as a yard tractor, until I can get around to building an exhaust for it.

Just picked up an exhaust flaring tool at P/A to make that a bit easier, tho it bears an unsettling resemblance to the 'pear of anguish' (dont google that)

but christ knows when I'll get around building it...

building a porch, and figgering out how to get a keel off a sailboat and lower it onto the ground so I can get it out of my driveway, without hiring an expensive crane truck...:hillbilly:

I have a jackall and a tug strap... I also have an old saturn s-series we can use in case the boat needs to fall on something... :hillbilly:

yeah polymer...that s***s soft, buddy used to have one...I fell on it a few times...( we drank a lot back then...:hillbilly:)

boat weighs about #1300 or therabouts. keels about #700 . So all told, it'll need about #2-2500 capacity.

Trouble is it's so damn tall, so jacks and such get a tad sketchy. and the stands it's on don't have much adjustment so I can't use them.

I know I took some pics of it, but can't find em right now, tho that could just be me...did most of an all nighter sailing a boat down to vic last night....brain needs sleep.

But yeah, if there's access to a cheap hiab that can handle that out there, I'm into it.

but right now it's time for a nap...

So I'm up island the plan is to put my reserve tank in and run on that until I can find an acceptable main tank.

Just one problem: the reserve does not have a return line.

How do I hook it up?

Any ideas would be great!

The lines it has:
main line that used to go to the engine. The big 2 inch line that goes to the filler. and the little line that also goes to the filler.

Can I just put a y connector on the little one attached to the filler neck or something?

just run a 5 gallon boat tank? thats whats in my 45 at the moment...works alright, runs right from the tank to the fuel pump....engine goes fine....dunno, might be just easier

ah...no, no return line. i thought it was just a temp kinda fix. all i have (going off of memory here) is a soft line running through the floor to the fuel pump. i thought you were just going to be bringen it back down island again and getting the old tank re-coated...
