Beacon Auto (NAPA) has them. What kind of bedliner did you use on your tub?

It was a proline product I beleive. I think I still have an empty can or half empty can in my trunk... I can double check tonight if you want. I used a funny little gun called a BUPA gun from lordco to spray it on... costs about 30 dollars a can for the bedliner and 20 bucks for the gun... I put it on relativly thick and it was about 2.75 cans to do the bottom. I'm really happy with how it turned out and will probubly do the inside once the weather improves...

basically you are supposed to have a 10-12 hr window without rain to do it in but in reality you need a bit more to wash, dry, prep, and prime the aluminum before spraying... should be a good day project...

Lookin' good Stephen! Is it home yet?

How come there's tims cups under it and not beer cans? Is that all your offering the hired help these days? Or do you need to return empties to get cruiser parts like some of the rest of us?

agh not a header. The headers on my 40 were a PITA. I'd stick with the exhaust manifold and just get a better mufler.

cruiser work continues today at my place in sannichton... give me a call if you want to come by for a beer.

Also I'm looking for someone to weld a couple of brackets onto my winch mount to hold my fairlead, also on a related note how far should the fairlead be mounted from the winch?

what problems did you have with your headers?

Ya, headers are a PITA, i have gone through 2 now. First one just cracked and started sucking air, second one is now cracked thanks to a root hitting the exhaust. I have a manifold assembly ready to put on when I can afford the exhaust tubing and muffler.

The fairlead can be mounted right in front of the winch, it doesn't matter as long as there is clearance in hole the cable is running through. Are you using the mounting bolts to attach the fairlead? How bout pics?

My Header was always leaking somewhere... It was different in thickness from the intake manifold and it regularly needed a new gasket , leaked at the collector, cracked, was really loud with the dual exhaust.

The headers may have been good for hp but they succed for low end torque. It was better off road after I put a manifold back on it.

interesting... maybe I'll just do up the exaust properly without the header...

Also went out and tested the tire deflators with something other then the saturn today... work great... pulled my buddies jeep out a couple of times and just generaly had a good time...

also the soft top is on now although i've come to realize that the windows are very brittle after sitting in the sun so long... Does anyone know if a boat place can repair them?

on another smaller note i've upgraded to an optima yellow top... seems to be a pretty good battery.

On another side note I'm wondering if anyone has access to a sandblaster and would be interested in sandblasting some fenders cheep/or for beer seeing as how I'm low on funds... but either way let me know and a rough idea of price. They are out of the cruiser so it should be straightforward I'd imagine.

boat place should definately be able to do the windows for you. not much different than a dodger/bimini. just clean it before you ask them, they get a tad bitchy about road grit in their $$ sewing machines...:grinpimp:
