Shameless plug :D

Just wanted the 80 & 100 guys with ARB, TJM and OEM* bumpers that want/need a solid recovery point/bracket to know about these: https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/518835-frbv2-frame-recovery-bracket-80-100-series.html

*I need to verify if there is interference between the lower portion of the OEM plastic bumper and a winch line connected to the FRBv2...if you have an OEM bumper please wait for more info before ordering.

Thanks to Rob aka pegasis0066 for assisting me with the test fitting process!

Yes Paul it will...the 50mm bolts I include should be long enough for the bumper mounting plate and my FRBv2.

Nice job on these, I have an ARB front bumper on my 80 and need a place to winch and snach from. PM me your address, info and I will mail you a check.

looks nice.

Will these clear a 100 OEM front bumper?

e9999: The front rubbermaid bumper hangs down fairly far...but I haven't test fitted to see whether or not there is interference.

Whether or not there is interference with a winch line and/or sling strap might be effected by the angle of pull too. I do address this situation in the installation and usage notes included with every FRBv2.

But in a recovery situation with no alternative getting a bruised front OEM bumper might be the "straw that broke the proverbial camel's back" to move that aftermarket front bumper purchase up on the list :D

Slee?

PM'd.

I know you just didn't pull an LJ...

EDIT: I just saw your post on the sell thread. You are forgiven.

I always have my reasons:flipoff2:, i fully assumed it would work but wanted to see the finished product.

can these be used in the rear where the rear factory hook is?

Yes...front (both passenger and driver side locations) and driver's side rear.

I can go take a look at Rusty's 100 to verify...but my FRBv2 is just slightly taller therefore better concerning the potential bumper interference compared to the OEM tie down bracket that is already mounted in the same location.

So if someone wants to know just take a look at your current tow point with a 7/8" bow/D shackle attached with string or winch line to see what angle causes interference. And no I'm NOT referring to the goofy "J" tie down hook on the passenger side (all you guys removed that POS right??!!)...but rather the tie down anchor on the driver's side...

Dan

I'll take one. Awesome job!
