Look like Rugose and Pipe Organ Corals. :)

(from post 88)

I'll tell Adam about the pipe organ corals that he s***s on and he will laugh his ass off!:hillbilly:

@Puke - I thought the devil did it to test your faith....??

@ Deny - I've shat on my share of rocks, ever been to Pink Mountain?

Just picked up a case of Stagg Chili just in case I need some latenight-highway/campfire grub ;) I've got a list going.... and will get back at the sliders tonight (have the first round of cutting done, and about 10 min of practice welding under my belt, think I'll start on a few of the non-structural welds tonight).

Yes been to Pink Mountain area, but no real exploring, just really passing through.

Here are few more pics 1st river crossing coming back through.

And last three I have, finishing the crossing and then flexing through a wash out.

Dang! Gotta punk out on you guys for this long weekend. :( If you're interested, I'll be doing some exploring on some of the trails along the BC/AB border the following weekend (and deep frying a turkey).

How come? No can do the next weekend got my 20km run that weekend. Curtis?

No can afford :frown:

s***ty. Martin? Anyone else that was thinking of coming this weekend? Looks like it might be 4 trucks going it right now, I might be catching up to the group heading in there thursday morning, either late thursday or Friday. Will see how this s***ty job I am taking care of is going tommorow.
Cheers,

Sorry Deny, can't make it happen. I'm so far behind at work and the instream work window gets going next week. Looks like I'll have to try for next year, if your not bored of it by then.

No problem. Seems this year has been a s*** show for me at work too, and every long weekend seems a rush, hoping with this clearing, next year will be a breeze being able to take our time into there and just having a good time wheeling it and maybe taking some rest days in there of fishing at the lake or exploring the mountain trail. a few extra days over 4 would be nice too to give it more of a slower pace.
Cheers,

Seems the last 6 years have been a s*** show for me at work too, and every long weekend seems a rush...

Fixed it for you. Thanks again Dude.

I hear you, work is the s*** ;) Anyway just got back from the trip, was another gooder. Charla showed up for just a little bit into the trail and now has the honour of being the one to be stuck closest to the begginning of the trail :p Although Amanda did get stuck a few meters further and ended up having starting issues that cost us 6 hours in the beginning of the trail. We only cleared a little, so there is still 4km to clear at the end of the trail, might do a trip in the fall to get some of it, but most likely hit it again next year.

Was Charla at least in 4WD this time?

I think so, but the issue was more with a stump somehow getting under the axle. You really have to watch out for the jumping stumps out there :hillbilly:

I think it had more to do with 4 hours of sleep, a pounding headache and perhaps a few too many :beer::beer::beer::beer: Or, maybe it was cause I slept with my head downhill. :p:lol::hhmm:

I think you should get used to me getting stuck everywhere 'cause I'm not about to break out the good set of tires around you anytime soon. :bang:

I did so sleep with my head down hill! Here are a few more pics of the trip after charla left. Note if someone had a good camera you could get some pretty good pictures, too bad this new camera I got for my field work is s***, my old one took way better and clearer pics. Either that or I keep sleeping with my head down hill and have a headache every time I go wheeling.:hillbilly:

Kims old truck made it out with us and did suprisingly well for a stock truck with cut out fenders fit with 35 mud terrains aired down to 15psi. Only needed a few tugs, but over all did well untill we hit the second river crossing and up the road we built to bypass the wash out which was a bit too hard core and he ended up taking out a front axle shaft so we didn't bother taking it further up the trail even after it was replaced with a spare. That part of the road needs a little more work as it is pretty sketch off camber and quite a climb to get up. I ended up taking a few poser pics cause Kendrick (guy driving kims old truck) was pretty slow on the trail so I would always stop for them to catch up and take the odd pic.
Cheers,

Last few before I crash, big day working tommorow again. Wish I coulda taken a few extra days in there.
Cheers,

Guess the last few didn't load. Stuck in the office stressing about a project wishing I could be back away from cell service and just having a beer drinking wheeling good old time ;)
