This weight was in the bottom of my tank. Is this part of the fuel level sending unit that fell off? Can't imagine how else it could have got there.

I wear them at work all the time, diesel and used oil are the worst things to get on your skin, I've seen what happens to your skin if you let that crap sit on it.

Thought the same thing - got a 4 and 6 year old and am always finding strange crap in the most peculiar of places!

wheel wieght........WTF.....its not even OEM :D

gloves I wear more and more as I get older, some of the crap out there just aint good for you or your skin.....or your love life ;)

Diesel fuel, grease, oil, etc will eventually dry your skin out to the point where you will start bleeding from your pores (voice of experience) and you will be soaking in hand lotion in an effort to correct this - also, used oil is carcinogenic. Gloves will save you a lot of hassle down the road.

someone put it in your tank so it can find its own way home.

love life

No kidding on the love life, wife thinks that PB Blaster STINKS !!!!
Gloves save me a lot of scrubbing:)

I hate to say it but as a grunt in the Marines, I wear gloves, beleive it or not women love a man with soft grease free hands that touch them. If that's not the case with the women you have in your lives, you need to take the dip out from between their lips and gums.
Keep on wrenching.

whoever gets my 68 when i sell it will find a chuck in the fuel tank.
