I found an all-original, unmolested, rusty, factory A/C 1974 FJ40, but I need to buy this without impacting the family budget :)princess: says sell some of my other toys for it).

Here's what I have to fund this project:

1) Millermatic 211 Mig Welder with autoset. Very low hours. Great machine and it is a 2011 model. Works on 110 and 220. Complete with all factory accessories (regulator, contact tips, 220 adapter, hose, MIG gun, ground, etc.) I still have the box as well. $850

2) Tan 3rd row leather seats for an 80 series. Very good condition. $100

[STRIKE]3) 1,100 rounds of 5.56mm M855 Israeli Military Industries ammo. Packed in 30 round boxes. $440[/STRIKE] SOLD

4) Knights Armament Co. M4 Carbine RAS. New with vertical grip. $210

5) Knights Armament Co. 300 meter back up sight for the M4 Carbine. $100

[STRIKE]6) Consew 175 Commercial sewing machine. $300[/STRIKE] SOLD

7) Motobecane mountain bike with XTR, XT, hydraulic disc brakes and SID forks. $850

I'll start a for sale thread with pics when I get a chance.

Thanks, Ed

Don't sell the welder! You'll kick yourself if you did.

Does the sewing machine come with the table? I've been wanting to get a sewing machine to make some seat covers and soft top for the 40.

Any pics of the 40? Good luck with the sale.

The sewing machine is complete with a table and everything that you need to get started. I also have a couple of large spools of upholstery thread.

I no longer have an M4, but the stuff listed attaches to one.

Ed,
Did you ever make more of those rear bumper shells? My buddy, Scott, is looking to get a rear bumper made and was wondering if you had any.

The new 40 (I hope)

So here's the farm find 40. It has been sitting for 10 years and the rust is not bad. The really good thing is that it was never molested, lifted or modified in any way. It is complete and still has all of its switches, buttons, back seats, etc. It even has an A/C unit that says Toyota on it. I've been looking for a cheap 40 to rebuild into a stocker, and this is it.

I need to give the guy $650, but my wife does not want anything coming out of the family budget (understandable since we are building an addition right now).

Edwin: I am sending you a PM about my guns.

Dave: My bumper shell prototype didn't hold up too well after I mounted my pintle hitch. I am reworking the design with thicker plate. I'll send you guys the CAD drawings once I finish them and I am probably a month out on my next prototype. The good thing is that the sides have held up very well and they allow for use of the factory mud flaps.

Heck, that doesn't look bad at all. I'd be all over it for $650. Good score. How did you find it, and where is it located?

I've always heard of this in fairy tales.....turns out it's true. Nice find! For $650, better get it quick!!

Saw this one on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. Think it was located out by Medina west of SA. Way to go!

77Mustard40 is right. The 40 is in Bandera. I've been looking for a truck like this for a long time.

My plan is to go up there on Saturday to see what needs to be done to get it out of there and onto a trailer (or prep for flat towing).

I'd love to have the welder if I had $ burning a hole in the pocket. I'm scraping for Edwin's compressor
