Total score. So what year and what motor is it, and does it have lockers? Very interesting find and back story as a rock hound vehicle. Good job buying both, too.
I love that it had no flares from the factory. That is extra cool, I missed that at first. You have a rare bird there, with no moonroof, flares or third row. I also like the light color and the two tone paint. It looks pretty clean and straight. I think you came out really good on that. Well played, sir.
Thank you,

Theres so much space without the flares and more headroom too. I’ve only ridden in cruisers with leather seats and I hear the cloth seats allow for more headroom due to seat configuration?

After driving this I can definitely see why people like the cloth seats more. As for paint I wasn’t too sure about the color combo but I actually like it now that Ive seen it in person. The silver is a very good color on these.

Once I get some more time I’ll take more photos after it’s been cleaned up. Maybe do a video.

thanks again

Question,

Does anyone know of any other models that had a rear bench seat?

Also what size tires would you guys recommend for a vehicle like this without flares. Anyone running a similar setup with photos of their rig?

haha, after seeing it person I understand why people like cruisers built this way.
Yup. Mine is identical to yours in every way except where it isn't. lol
Mine got saddled with the luggage rack, flares, full-floats/discs, and split 2nd row. 🙁
But they did give it lockers to get the imperialist accoutrements around.

nice, do share some photos.

Good size tire. On what size wheel and offset? Currently on the car it’s 31x10.5x15.
That's one of the reasons why i told you to grab the 16 inch rims off of that other cruiser you bought. Those 16 inch rims already have the correct offset, along with offering you way more choices in tire size then the 15 inch rims your truck is running now.

you are correct!

Stock 80 rims are 8", zero offset
Good to know.

Question to you all. If I decide to part the other land cruiser I had to buy. What parts would you keep from that 3fe engine bay as I know some parts are NLA. Also any other suggestions on other parts worth keeping related to the early 80s?

Recently I’ve made some time to finally work on the poverty pack. As mentioned prior it was owned by an older gentleman who would hunt for fossils so the interior was extremely dusty. The seats have seen better days so I started to look for replacement interior. Luckily I found a seller about an hour from me who had really nice blue/grey interior.

The plan was to replace everything minus the rear bench seat, the rear carpets and headliner. I’ll eventually pressure wash the original carpet as it had a few simple features that were intended for this vehicle.

Photos of what we started with. As you can see the rear carpets didn’t have the holes cut out for the 3rd row seats.
