A POV pack with a rear sub? That's interesting, don't think there were any like that in Aus.

Edit: And power windows and door speakers too, not something that was done here to my knowledge.

Remnants the previous owners findings. The driver seat was so worn the foam was nonexistent and the frame was starting to get polished.

Time to pressure wash the replacement carpet. The water coming out of the carpet was like a nice Peet’s coffee dark roast.

After a few hours of pressure washing carpet cleaner solution and a day of drying in the sun. Original rear carpets going back in the vehicle.

The door cards were showing their age and to match the rest of the interior I replaced them with the new ones I had purchased.

The front 2/3 of the vehicle being the dirtiest I decided to give it one more pass before the freshly washed carpet went back in. I also removed all the original jute padding from under the carpet but kept it to make patterns to replace it with something new/similar. Getting close!

I did some research to locate a replacement lower bench seat foam as mine looked like a baby T-Rex was in the back seat. But the only place I could find that had a bench seat for sale was Australia. I msgd the sellers and they both said they wouldn’t ship.

I bought the replacement rear seats even though they were split seats in hope that my upholstery guy could use the fabric to fix the bottom of my bench seat.

I decided to test the replacement split seat and noticed two bolt holes had plugs from the factory. I’m guessing there’s threads under the plugs but I’ll confirm soon.

Another interesting thing I noticed. The steps next the middle seat. The original carpet has not been cut out on the original carpet. Also there’s no holes to mount the steps. This carpet in the photo shows the pattern of a step because I’m using this carpet from another vehicle not the original carpet that came in this vehicle. Just to clarify. I do have more/better photos of this on my digital camera that I’ll post later.

Lastly I did drop off the bench seat with the upholstery guy. He said he can take material from the replacement split seats I brought him and build the foam that’s missing. More progress photos next week.

Excited to finally make some progress.

My understanding there weren’t many built this way in the states. I did a carfax (history report) on this vehicle and it was sold new in California.
