I'm not sure when Hard Rock closes the gates or if they lock them.

If anyone thinks they might be arriving after dark Saturday, PM me and I'll PM you back with my phone#. Then call me and I'll come up and open the gate.

I'll arrive around 9AM Saturday.

Please take lots of pics and PLEASE post them up under FORUM PHOTOS. I will start a thread there entitled TURKEY TROT 2012. Thanks!

Turkey trot 2012 photos

Turkey trot photos go here. Post em up!:)

Ok so it looks like I planned a camping trip the same weekend as this. I forgot about this event. So I have talked it over with the group, and we will be coming out to Hardrock. It will be my wife and 4 of our friends. Do not worry about the dinner, we will be bringing our own stuff to cook out. We will not have a 4x4, but most of them will not want to trail ride anyways. Only if I bug them enough. Cant wait to see you guys their Saturday morning. Not sure of the time we will get their, but I am trying for as early as possible.

And quite worthy I must say!
Saturday is wheeling day at Turkey Trot...shall I add you to the list for dinner?

Sorry for the late reply TRchieD Looks like I'm gonna have to work all weekend. So no wheeling for me on Saturday.

I will catch an event sooner or later.

KEEP THAT GATE OPEN !!! I've never driven my fj40 more than 30min and that was to Luis's house.. hope all goes well winter park to ocala. ill leave wp by 3:00pm sat (when i get out of the office) and hopefully be there in time to get some turkey. oh yeh thanks for keeping the Gate open for those of us who need to get there late. ps what time is the girl mud wrestling festivities.?

The gate usually locks around 10PM. Don't worry too much unless you're lost. IF you get lost, do what you can to call us!

Hoping to get there a little after 9AM on Sat with the Father-in-law. If anyone needs anything Luis and Rocky have my digits. (keep it legit though! all the nekkid wrestlers were booked...)

Leaving Friday from work around 3-4. Let me know if I need to bring anything.

I'll be getting there Friday, hopefully before the sun goes down so I can pitch my tent. Oh yeah, and I bought 40tude's old Cummins 4BT powered cruiser.

I loaded what firewood I had. It's probably enough for two hours of good fire.
Bringing a chainsaw too.

Anyone else brought/bringing wood?

Looks like I'm a no show due to some personal matters that that popped up. Hope everyone has a good time.

Pat

There's plenty of wood here! Just get yer ass up here!

First person with an 80 who wants a free oil filter let me know. It's yours if you read this and are at TT!!

And Danny wins!

This included to meet minimum requirement. No s*** attached.

It was a great time!!
Great turnout, and great people! A smashing success (in more ways than one)

A special thanks to Luis, Madelin, Papi and his mom for handling cooking duties.
The food was delicious!! Luis, your family treats us all like we're family too and they are genuinely nice people.

Archie, I hope you're still speaking to us after the numerous phone calls in the wee hours of the morning:cheers::beer::cheers:
Justin thanks for sharing the liquid in the mason jars with us.

Nice meeting new people too.
It was a stellar gathering of people from varied backgrounds and all walks of life that share a common interest.... Land Cruisers. Or is it alchohol?

There were a couple of VERY NICE super clean 40's there. I hope someone will post pictures of them.

Turkey Trot 2012

Thanks to Laura for taking a ton of photos. If you have more, let me know and I'll add them as well.

I picked my favorite ones and put them into a Google Plus account that I made just for us (collectively) to use. I will give the account login details to you via PM, or you can just get me the photos/video and I'll put them in.

Here's a link to the album:

Austin setup the blindfold course. (I'm missing pictures from before Luis' run, so if anyone has 'em, give it up!)

I volunteered to navigate for Luis, but misunderstood the directions  and didn't have Luis slalom the first part of the course.

Each navigator was also given a bowl of water - for each ounce you returned with, you got 30 seconds kocked off your time. Many of us would have been better off just dumping it on the ground from the start - at least then we wouldn't have wet seats!

We mostly stayed on the path!

Then it was my turn! Heather was kind enough to guide me...

The next "event" was one of the hills - looked kind of unassuming...

Steve and I walked it, and he decided he was going to try it.
