WHY?
Josh had the spindles bored for 35 spline axles when he built the truck, PITA to get it done guy that ended up doing it requested no more to do.
We don't really know what happened but at last years Roundup the rh side axle drum and end of the spindle came off with the locking nuts attached, looked as if the axle was rubbing on the tube and welded itself to the spindle.
He has 6 something gears in there which are not available for the 14 bolt, I had a used 14 bolt we swiped the outers from and he order a pair of Moser axles to couple them on.

Ya'll normally wear your pants inside your boots??

no he beveled them almost all the way thru and burned them in, is going to gusset the tops.

Of course I think he's a better welder than you:D:D:D:D:D:D

We wear our jeans long, Texas style, so they are frayed on the bottom, it tends to burn real well:doh::doh:

this is the proper way to wear your jeans over boots:D

When I was in ship building, they beveled everthing and ran a weld, but preheated prior to get the moisture out which can cause issues.

They never sleeved it and it had to hold 16 ton drives.

Never said it was impossible.. :flipoff2:

Also, that metal has a ton of oil in the pores.

Okay, so the little girls wear their jeans outside the boots but the "adults" (I use the term loosely) wear them inside the boots.. Makes sense to me :D

Is Texas Style like Family Style??

I need to work on my Texas jokes.. My brother is gonna be one in a couple of months... :hillbilly:

Damn Nevadionians are nearly as dense as Yankees

we only wear our jeans inside the boots when
1.Welding
2.Tromping 'round in mud or s***

wish you were coming to the Roundup, last one..............

Pretty much sums your day up right there don't it????

wish you were coming to the Roundup, last one..............

I heard, I wish I was too. Once I found out that my brother was moving to Texas I was gonna fly out and hit next years up with him..

There is gonna be another roundup tho right? Just not at Katemcy?

Doubtful, LSLC may do a national event, at a different location, but will probably let that name die with Katemcy Rocks.
The Roundup's success, spirit, ambiance and the reason it was what it was...... is as much due to the Kruse family and that marvelous section of land as it was LSLC

Think of the Black Hills bratfest X 100:eek:

Todd Kaderaback asked me the same thing...........
Kinda like Zeppelin without John Bonham on drums........in my opinion

But we are putting on the biggest baddest one yet next week.

Hmmm..

C'mon Mace. The last one. Woody's at the house right now on the way down. I'm heading down Friday. Catch a flight and you can ride down with me.

Wait, you are wheeling again??

:D

There is just too much crap going on right now for me to make it out. You have no idea how much I want to hit this event..

:D

Not unless putting 35K per year on the 100 is considered Wheeling... Wait I did use the AHC to drop it down to connect to a trailer - does that count? God - I'm starting to sound like the guys over in the 100 section.

I've got to tell you - seeing Woody and his cruiser and seeing Ed and Rascal a few weeks ago has REALLY got the bug going. Let me know if you see any good deals on buggies.

Hope things slow down. If you come up with a last minute deal - I will be leaving Fort Worth Friday early afternoon - hop a flight and I'll pick you up at DFW.
