No problem with the vulturing. I know it's an option . . . just a desperate one right now. I've had a lot of vehicles and this is, by far, my favorite. Right now I'm in mourning.

Skip the old school 350 and go straight to a 5.3L Vortec. 325 HP of pure bliss. I have an 89 FJ62 here at the shop that I am getting ready to deliver with the swap. HUGE difference. If you want to check it out, this weekend is the time as it will be leaving next week. You can see a little of the swap on this thread.

Anyone ever try finding auxiliary light switches that fit the factory knockouts on a 60 center console? Mine is an 87, so it has the same console as a 62.

Thanks for the tip; I'm surprised at the variety and low cost, too.

I'm pretty handy with a Dremel, but I'm not completely comfortable with the idea of cutting (or enlarging) holes in my own console, (I've cut openings in other people's vehicles, but not mine). But hey, I gotta put all those switches somewhere, right?
