Anybody need 80 parts? I've got a rolled 94' that I'm parting out. I need to keep it drivable for a while but anything nonessential is available. I think she's got one last Windrock adventure in her before the drivetrain goes. Several parts have already been claimed but there is plenty left. The body is toast. It's located off HWY 70 just outside Farraugut for now but will be heading to Cookeville soon.

Notable items:
260k miles
No lockers
The motor and t-case were rebuilt by ProToy a few thousand miles ago...I need to have them print the invoices to see exactly what was done.
It has manual leather seats.
Vinyl steering wheel
The interior was in decent shape before the roll...it's brown not "oak".

How much for the head lights and course support if they are interchangeable with a 91

I've got one good headlight but the tabs on the driver side are busted up. The glass is good on both. I'd say the core support is bent too...kind of hard to tell. $80 for the good and one $40 for the other?

@Hawgleg was this a wreck you were in or did you pick up the truck wrecked? If it was your, I hope everyone is ok.

That said, you said manual leather seats, they in decent shape? Whatcha thinking for the 1st and 2nd row? Also, does it still run and drive, just got a busted lip, or is it trashed? Frame bent, etc.? Asking as it might be a solid project to chop up for a wheeler.

I was not in it but in knew the guy who was. He just climbed out and walked back to his house. No injuries at all. He called me and I actually came, looked at it, and agreed to buy it while it was still in the ditch.
He had it towed to my house and that's where it sits now. I drove it around the block in my neighborhood that night. Mechanically everything seemed to be ok. He turned it off right after the roll so it didn't run upside down for any substantial time. The power steering was groaning because it lost some fluid and the throttle body got tweaked when the hood came down on it and the throttle sticks now. I have one from a previous part out that in gonna throw on it. There's a bearing noise somewhere but I think it's an idler pulley for the A/C or drive belts...it didn't sound internal.
My plan was to take the doors and roof off and throw some spare 35"s on it and wheel it without abandon a time or two before parting it out all the way. As for the seats, other than the driver they are pretty good. What's a fair price? $350? I'd like to hang onto them long enough for the Offroad adventure if I don't sell the whole thing first. It also has a clean title so it'd be pretty good to chop up and build.

I have a few things left over from my 91 fj80 build if anybody is interested.

Transfer case
3fe short block
rear axle housing
igniter and distributor
alt
power steering pump

may have other parts in the future also do not know what this stuff is worth but somebody might be able to use it no I have to have a price listed so let's just say 500 and of course we have a place to start.

Hawgleg, Would you be interested in selling the motor out of that rolled truck? Thanks,
Steve

Yes, I'm just picking a few things then planning to get rid of the whole truck. I've already got another parts truck and my other 80's are 97's so I don't really need this one. I don't see myself having time to pull the motor but I'll sell you the whole thing minus what I need if you're interested?

take your time. I need to pull my valve cover gasket off and see if im dealin with something a head will fix, or something more "involved". I'm in no rush. I've got a 97 as well, so I dont know how nicely a 94 engine would play in a 97 with obd1 vs obd2

The engines are the same but there is a crank position sensor pickup on the 95+ crank that would have to be added as well the sensor itself (which is in the oil pan). You could swap your pan but you'd have to add the pickup to the crank. It may be doable since you'd have you old motor to scavenge from.

great info. Let me get my valve cover off and nose around. Since im not in a rush maybe ill hold out to find a 95-97.

Thanks for the quick replies though

Believe me, thats on the factoring list. :grinpimp: I just have to convince the other half that it would be money well spent lOLOL

Do any of you guys know of a 95+ 80 that may or may not be for sale but could possibly be purchased? I'm hunting for a friend and he specifically wants what everybody wants...a nice Cruiser w/ <200k miles, grey interior, in white, blue, or grey...possibly other colors but definitely grey interior. It needs to be rust free. Any price range or level of streetable build would be considered. I'll offer up a $200 finders fee for anybody that turns me onto the truck that he ultimately buys. PM or email me at hawgleg@gmail.com if you have any leads. Thanks!

Sold my 80, looking for a 100 Series if anyone spots one. I would really like to find one already built or partially built. Heck, might even consider another 80. I'm thinking serious about buying something that's not so nice so I can take it out and wheel it and not worry about it. My other 80 turned out too nice and just couldn't bring myself to hit anything hard. I've got a DD so would be nice to have a dedicated trail rig. Just want something in good running condition with lockers, OEM or ARB is fine. I found out with the last one, it's a lot cheaper to buy one already built but does take a lot of the fun out of it.

Thanks

Dude. Seriously. I think you're the newest star on the A&E Network's latest reality show...."Cruiser Flippers"!!!!

LOL! Going to look at a 1982 FJ40 this weekend. I met the lady through a mutual friend and she's ready to sell. Never owned a 40 but always wanted one.
