I live in Morristown and I'm looking for someone to replace the rear axle seals in my 1989 FJ62. I would try to tackle it myself but I honestly don't have the time or the tools. I just bought it a few weeks ago and took it over to my regular repair guy with some brake issues, and he said there's grease leaking out of the axle seals and all over the shoes. He likes doing smaller jobs that he can knock out in one day and I just don't think he wants to deal with it. Just curious if there's anyone around Knoxville or the Tri-Cities that would be able to do this? Any idea of a ballpark on what this should cost with parts and labor?
My chiropractor bought this one new in 1989 so it's always been Morristown so not a lot of rusty parts to deal with. He sold it to a local guy and it's set over the last 4 years so there's some issues I have to get ironed out. My guy did everything else, just need to get this done so I can drive it and not worry about it.
