This is the original hybrid – dual fuel – gasoline or propane! This is the only one in existence that I know of. It is virtually non-polluting and gives you easy access to anywhere in Colorado. The jump seats make it 4- passenger.
I have owned and restored this vehicle in Evergreen over the last 20+ years. I have meticulous records of the OEM parts used (except for the propane conversion). It is an incredible rock-climber with an 8,000 lb. winch for tough spots. With chains, it will power through 4 feet of wet snow.
Interior is immaculate with new heater last year and OEM shifter boots. Indoor/outdoor carpet and re-upholstered seats make this a comfortable ride.
Mechanically, this is a perfect vehicle (and original engine) able to ford 36” of water due to high air intake. The propane fuel is efficient, non-polluting and easy access at the local Shell station (no fuel tax on road-used propane).
We have used this primarily for camping within 50 miles of Evergreen and it has great 4WD capability but gently used off road. It has a hitch for towing and top rack for extra gear – heavy duty.
I have all records of improvements and it is VERY reliable. New battery, new differential, new transfer case seals, new parking brake, and only 2,500 miles on the aggressive off-road tires.
This is a unique vehicle in need of a new caretaker. I am buying a new vehicle and would like to find a new owner to care for it as I have – named “TANK”.
