think the bottom end is failing in Mulligan. Considering the mileage is unknown, it's likely got 300+ on the ole ticker.
Anyone got a lead on an early 1FZE? it can even need a rebuild. I just need one to rebuild or swap out... can't affrod to be without my DD for more than a week.

What year model is that. I remember seeing some complete 80s being parted out on mobile Craig's list. Just beat up body's from rust or wrecks

He has that engine on eBay for $2000... I wouldn't want to insult him, but at 198,xxx on the ticker and no guarantee that the HG has the new gasket. I'd offer $500

My bottom end is playing knock knock jokes. And I even tried Lucas.
I REALLY need to clean the sump screen in it. But it's an ordeal getting that pan off. Gotta raise the mawter and junk.

I thought that was just for the upper pan?

I meant bottom as in both pans as one. I realize it's the front pan that requires the engine unbolt... But I also know folks who've done this. So Im assuming that's where the screen is... No?

I'd pay that price for a reman'd mawter INSTALLED!... I mean... I've done everything else to this rig except the motor, trans, xfer. And heck, I even did a HG... I'm invested at this point. Onliest thing that'll git me out of it is a blue one.... ah..... especially if it had tan interior!
