Yes, they are. They have been known to kill packs of coyotes. They love kids and are extremely gentle and protective. I dare anyone to mess with my wife or kids with them around. I can guarantee it wouldnt be good for them.
I went to a dad-daughter summer camp a few years back with Paige. They had a bunch of Alpacas there. They also had a big, white fluffy dog that basically lived with the alpacas. I wonder if it was a Great Pyrenees, keeping predators away from them.

Bumping for new camping season... and other life events... anyone looking for a nice, very lightly used camper?

Reluctantly considering selling my A-liner classic with offroad/expedition package... gauging interest. We bought it new in 2013, lives under a tarp when rarely in use. Great camper, I pull it behind the 4runner with no trouble, 80mph up la bajada. I bought it to pull behind my 80 when i had that and it was easy peasy, 1687# reported dry weight. Has a/c, heater, 11 gal fresh water, no grey water. hot/cold water, outside shower, sink, fridge, microwave. queen bed and dinette that makes a twin bed. I replaced the battery and the bias ply tires with carlisle radials last summer.

We just don't use it enough anymore to justify storing it. it is currently winterized and stored in my backyard.

behind the 80...

I am looking to trade these 17" rims for another set of 17" rims that will fit either on my 80 or 45. These came on my 80 series and I don't love them. I honestly don't have anything specific in mind so let me know what you have if you are interested. I have 5 of them with 35x12.50r17 tires.

Edit: 4/8/19, I went and measured the tire tread depth. They are all right at 10/32, new the tires would be 18/32, so they still have a little over half the tread depth. I would prefer to sell the wheels and tires together, so there are 5 rims and 5 tires asking 1200 for it all. Let me know what you think.

The centers of all of them have been opened up a little by the po.

If you end up wanting to sell them I might be interested. 17X9 or? Do you know backspacing? Looks deep!

I will look and see what the back spacing is. They are either 8.5 or 9 wide, I will confirm that too. If I don't find a trade I like I will sell them after I figure out what I would buy.

Here's the specs on those wheels... they are a pretty nice wheel. I don't think the 17" version is produced any longer. I've got nothing to trade, but if you decide to sell I might be interested. What exactly do you mean by the "centers of all of them have been opened up a little"??

The 17" version was not hub-centric to begin with, IIRC, with a 108mm center bore vs 106.1 for Toyota OE wheels. If the center bores have been opened up further that would be a definite deal breaker for me.

FN Wheels - Five Star
17x8.5
-6mm offset (4.5" backspacing)
6x139.7
SAE J2530, JWL-T, VIA certified
2,100lbs+ (955kg+) load rating certified
Clears all 6-lug Toyota brakes

Wheel info for reference...

Thanks for looking all of that up and sharing. The center of the wheels have all had the inside ground down some. I assumed po did this to make them easier to slide on over the hubs. I will post a picture of this tomorrow.

All the centers look like the pictures below. The centers look like they were ground a little with a Dremel or something. They were not machined. I put them on the 45 here to check fitment. They are a right fit over the front hubs.

Never been there but I saw a video of burning man - I am not sure that is my scene.

Thanks for clarifying. Those wheels typically have a rib running around the circumference of the center bore in that location to retain a TRD style center cap that would pop into the center bore. My guess is that the rib was interfering with fitment over the hubs so the PO ground it flat to create a flat center bore from inner edge to outer. Not a big deal, except that you can no longer run a center cap with that set. If you decide to sell, post up a price.
