WTB 60 or 62 in Pacific N.W. Area

I'm definately a newbie to this forum tho I have spent hours reading it, this is my first post. My wife thought i was having an online affair until i came clean with my landcruiser ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder).

Anyhow, I have a 1982 bj 60 with a 3b. The body is shot and i am looking for a rig to do a engine swap. I was hoping to find something with a bad/blown engine that was in pretty good shape, with a 5 speed preferably. I'm on a fairly tight budget and would like to find something in the $3,000 range but open to offers depending on age and condition.

Cheers.

why buy another rig to wheel hard, when this one will do it all??????
I'll be happy to trade you for my built 60, you won't feel bad thrashin it.

There is no doubt that this rig will do it all. It's the fact that it's to clean to do it all where I currently reside. The trails up here turn straight body panels to pulp in a hurry.

There is one in Missoula MT, 89 62 series, 140,000 miles dent in driver rear door, some rust bubbles on pass quarter, nothing thru yet. his name is Tim call him at 406 829 1520 he was asking $2900, probably deal alittle.

Thanks for the info. I called Tim and his rig is a auto and i'm looking for a 5spd. I'm not sure what transmission is easiest to match up with the 3b, i need to do some research.

looking to get the wife a 1990-96 cruiser need help

I talked my wife into getting a cruiser but we just bought a house and are slip in the wallet area. We live in Manteca (central valley in CA) and I am looking to find with a good body and enterior the of course runs well with maybe 150,000 miles on the clock. Anyone seen one with in a reasonable distance (100 miles or so of Sacramento to Fresno)? Looking at Kelly Blue book, the price should be around 5,000 give or take a grand.

Thanks

I've got a 1983 fj-60 that I am looking to get rid of.

It needs a bit of body work, a few dents and some rust but not a whole lot. It has been desmogged, and has an ARB Bullbar. It also has a leece-neville 150 amp alternator. The engine has 275k on it and is getting pretty tired. It has a manual transmission that is in good shape. It has been well maintained and greased regularly, they guy I got it from was a mechanic.

The interior is in decent condition. I would take $2800 with the bullbar, $2,300 without it. I am in Spokane.

I also have a 1970 Corvette LT1 with a matching SM-420 transmission that I was going to put into it... of course that would be alot more :)

If you want to talk you can post here, or email me at wax808@gmail.com

fs or trade 1992 FJ80 - Albany, NY

* i had to edit this...everyone here obviously knows what basic options this has
So this is my first post and I'm trying to sell my 1992 Land Cruiser.

I'm just going to cut/copy/paste my post from craigslist
http://albany.craigslist.org/car/144680638.html

155,xxx miles
Runs real good and is in real good shape.
asking $5900, but I would also be interest in a trade of some sort + cash. [\b]
Feel free to make any kinds of offers.
The Goods:
lockable differential
remote starter
3 rows of seats
power moonroof
Air Conditioning
AM/FM/CD/Tape player

I've only put about 7,000 miles on it and have done the following within the last 18 months:
New OEM antenna mast (summer/05)
Refurbished rear wiper motor (spring/05)
new plugs and wires and distributor (12/05)
changed differntial fluids (12/05)
new muffler (8/05)
new master cylinder (2/06)
a couple new brake lines (2/06)
changed brake fluid (2/06)
some new power steering lines (summer/05)
4 new pioneer speakers (12/04)

The previous owner put alot big dollar parts into it as well.
Catalytic converters.
A/C Condensor with new style R134A refrigerant.
Brakes
etc.

I have lots of receipts.

It only needs 2 things:
A new O2 sensor
A endlink for the rear swaybar. a piece broke off it and it causes it to make a clicking noise. Doesn't affect anything, just a little annoying. I'm thinking it'd be cheap, like $10, but i can't find them around.

Chances are these will be taken care of before I sell it, but I just wanted to be as honest as possible.

I had run a carfax on it before I bought it and everything was clear. If someone wants to run one, I'll gladly give the vin. I don't have it in front of me right now.

I had originally purchased this as a winter/second vehicle but I'm trying to eliminate some debt. I really think i want a "taco" or something. This is just a little too much and a little too nice for a winter car.

It's very reliable, runs super good.

I've been looking around(but haven't posted) and it seems there's not alot of people here on the east coast. If there are and they have any interest in a cheap, reliable fj80...drop me a line.
The $6000 was just an asking price...I'm sure I'd take a bit less. I paid like $7000 from a family friend about 18 months and 6-7,000 miles ago.
