I'm selling a black/grey interior Toyota Land Cruiser with just under 130,000 miles on it. It was purchased new in 2001 and driven on the east coast for eight years before I drove it out here when moving to the Bay Area. There is some rust underneath as a result. The car runs very well with few issues throughout the life and ownership of the vehicle.
The following modifications/changes have been made to the truck:
-The grill has been painted semi matte black
-The rear wind buffer thing was removed (the mounts are still attached)
-The running boards were removed
-The original carpet mats were replaced with weathertech mats
-About 6,000 miles ago I changed the tires that were on the car for Toyo Open Country AT which still have plenty of life. As a result the ride sits a bit higher which I prefer.
-The brakes were recently serviced and the rear brake pads and drums replaced as of 500 miles ago
The car was inspected within the month and the following was observed:
-The O2 sensor needs to be replaced -- $100 part 1 hr of labor
-The axel boots are showing wear and will need to be replaced soon -- $150 each 2-3hr of labor
The total estimated cost of these repairs will be around $800.
The oil was changed during inspection and the battery "cleaned/rejuvenated"
The car functions very well -- as one would expect from a Land Cruiser with relatively low mileage.
Aesthetically the car is in clean condition. There is surface rust on the underside. Furthermore there is a 5 inch diameter dent (depression) in the front driver side fender. Several times I've been flagged down by guys offering to "pop it out/hammer it out/make it look new" for $150. I have no idea what the method is here but I imagine it means hammering out the depression from behind/inside the body. While I haven't obliged as I don't see the dent as much of an issue, it seems to suggest the repair is straight forward and something one could do on their own if they had the knowledge and energy.
Anyway, I've tried to be as descriptive as possible. Please pm me or email me at jmanzi123@gmail.com with any questions. The car is being sold for local pickup only.
I'll take pictures soon and post them here if there's enough interest and/or can send them to any emails provided.
Thank you for your interest.
