Call it what you may, Foot Rest, Dead Pedal, Rest Assy, Fr Foot, PN#58190-60120, it's all the same.
When I bought the 100, I didn't realize the pedal was messed up. Both sockets on the back were broke and someone tried to glue them back together and they broke again.
I bought a new one from Beno on here. I screwed the sockets on the studs, lined up the pedal and pressed it on. The top one snapped in, the bottom snapped, but would come back off. I could reach under the pedal and adjust the socket. I tried moving it out several times, since it would pop off. No luck, even if both did snap in, how in the world do you remove it. It seems like it is a odd set up. Anybody have experience with this?
Thanks!!

I only have experience with the "glue it on and hope the buyer doesn't notice" trick.

Mine came with a wonky dead pedal as well. I just left it out. I screwed the plastic knubs back on so I didn't just have screws sticking out of my floor. Loving the left leg room with it gone.

anyone with install or removal experience of the foot rest?

My Digital Fit Weather Tech keeps it in place.
This piece is (nearly) the only "under engineered" part of the 100.

I'm thinking I might try to find one for a RHD. I kind of miss it when I ride passenger in my truck.
That's creative thinking. Part# 58190-60040 for the RHD footrest. Will it fit? Are there differences in the shape of the floor or firewall?

I think it would be on the transmission hump so I assume it would be a different shape.

I changed it on the wife's lx, very simple. Dead pedals are a MUST.

Yes, of course. I was thinking of differences in shape between LHD and RHD at the place of the RHD footrest.

Off road the difference between driving and the passenger seat is amazing. You get way more beat up in the passenger seat, driving you have the dead pedal and steering wheel keeping you stable. The grab bars really aren't in the right place to keep you from swinging back and forth.

I put an old school high beam switch on mine. Have it wired between the LED light bar switches and their power, before the relays...

So now there's no more bumping a light on accidentally, and once I'm out in the dark I've got an instant on/off toggle with the left foot.

Hadn't considered one for the passenger side, but would be interested to see a pic if anyone installs one, that's a cool idea.

OK Hijackers, let's get back to the question at hand!

How can it be "simple', one side of the plug screws to the floor, the other side of the plug is part of the pedal. It comes with both parts together, you have to squeeze both ears of the plug in to pull it apart. Mine came put together and it was VERY tight! So when you screw one plug to the floor and press the pedal together, there is no way you could "Unplug" it when it is in place. There is no access to it again.

That's the question, how would you get it back apart? Short of ripping it apart, like the old one was, I can't see how it could be done. Seems like a really stupid set up, why couldn't the head of a bolt be on top of the pedal? Frustrated!!!

PArt # , where?

PArt # , where?
Where? Most any parts place. 2 kinds: One as nakman installed with terminals pointing forward, the other (which you don't want) has terminals at a right angle to nakman's...it's designed to mount through a hole in the floorboard and wiring is connected underneath the vehicle. No 'yota pn as it's not an oem part...but I like nakman's engineering.;)

I just bought a new OEM foot rest to replace the broken one that was on my LC when I bought it. Anyone know the proper way to install it? I was originally thinking that it just gets pushed on the studs, but that doesn't make sense. Do I need to disassemble it, thread it on and push it together?
