after a few trips up to landtanks we got the front locker working again. bisically, this internals corroded to the point that they were still useable but certain key elements were seized up.

we took it apart, cleaned up all the surfaces with some sandpaper and alcohol, applied a little white lithium grease and put it all back together. works like a charm now!

to keep this from happening in the future, people with OEM lockers should cycle/engage them at least 1x a month.

Basically your telling people to get off their butts and wheel, nice
Wow it's really true, if you don't use it you will lose it :D

ha... get off your butt an wheel is something i can't say because i generally try to practice what i preach and well, my wheeling days are few an far between. however, i think the use it or lose it applies and more importantly it i think people should go through all the operations of their truck before showing up at the trailhead.

a couple years ago with my old truck, i thought everything was perfect, got to the trailhead and the ARB compressor wouldnt work. shame on me for not checking it before hand.

Nah, shame on the PO for selling you such a piece of junk. ;)

ha! it worked when you sold it to me... the issue was that one of those little in line fuses would pop once in a while.

glad to hear it Pete. The basic problem as I saw it was that the O-ring on the housing had failed and that let all kinds of crap into the mechanics causing both electrical and mechanical problems. I need to get my front locker out so I can do the same to mine as I'm sure I'm on borrowed time.

I didn't like Font Locker, I use LinoType FontExplorer X now.
