Fog lights in an ARB

It looks like you had some addition plate welded in above the hause lead in the center. Is that true?

The lights look good.

Thanks about the lights. Yes there is some extra plate there to fill the gaps. Some other reinforcements as well.:D

Is that the Commercial ARB for the Warn 8274?

No, it is the Deluxe ARB that has been modded to withstand my poor driving skills.

OK, OK. . . I'll do a writeup. I've got the photos resized for MUD but have to fill in the text. This is the start of my busy season, so it may take a bit. I'll post a link back here when I'm finished.

You might want to check on that before you seal them up. All aftermarket halogen lights that I've seen came with a vent/airhole. Might be a "ticking timebomb" if you seal up completely.

I will keep that in mind.

Thanks.

Ok I'll get in on this... here's what I did. I designed & built a new housing that would hold two cheapo fleabay LED driving lights. Then on the back side I put a bunch of holes to mount some additional 4-pack LED's from superbright. The goal isn't to increase light at night, but more of a night wheeling, something to have on while camping, find the valve stem cover, etc. solution that's low power draw.

Damn Tim. You have definately become blingman. First the interior mic lights and now these. IIIIIIIIIII like it.

I like your install. Did you jut cut holes or was there welding involved?

Oh, there was welding:D

If you're not as OCD as I am you could just drill holes. One for each lamp and two for each bracket (one per bracket could work, but wouldn't be very stable).

Wait for the writeup. . . .

From the looks of the lens it seems the standard screws that the ARB ones used would fit in the clear lenses. I will wait for the writeup, I used some cheap auto store fog lights in mine and they are poor at best, but have them mounted without any cutting, drilling or welding which was a plus for me.

looking forward to reviewing that write up.

Thanks, dude.
