This is my FJ60 that I completed the engine swap last may. I used the Mark's adapter, a mildly built 350 with Edelbrock intake and Holley Pro-jection fuel injection. I have been VERY happy with it. It all went together with no problems and started and ran well from the first turn of the key. I still have a wierd hesitation through the 2000 rpm powerband, but I've still been driving it. The whole build has been without a doubt, the easiest.

This Youtube video is from a camera mounted right on the back bumper above the exhaust exit. It's the 50 series flowmaster, and is just about perfect. You can easily have a discussion in the truck, and the only time you hear the growl is when you mash the gas.

(shrugs) Not bad for a married guy I suppose...

i was waiting for you to take us up those banks a little faster, i wanted to hear the motor opened up and catch some air with ya

I nailed the gas when I was on some rocks in Providence Canyon here in Cache Valley. It spun the rim in the tire. Spun the rim in the TIRE.
The beast has never been above 2500 rpms. Everything it does it does right off idle. I dont even use first gear on the street because it's too low. Second gear starts are the norm and third gear starts are not a problem, but I bet the clutch gets a bit warm...
The block is an early four bolt with a buncha lunati parts thrown in. The cam is the most aggressive stock cam profile in the chevy perofrmance parts catalog. The cam is what makes it kick, in fact, the cam lope is what has been giving me a headache whenever I try to time it. The power ramps up before the centrifugal weights "catch" the rpm curve, so I need to put in some different springs in the distributer. My mileage so far is about 13 mpg or so, and the vacuum is strong enough to suck in a kitten.

More pics and mpegs coming soon...

My camera also still works. The strap is gone, but the camera still works...

My trail rig sounds like that too, however it's a manifold leak. :D.

I was going to say, it sounds like you have a fairly tall cam in there. I love that lopey idle. Sounds nice!

Sounds sweet! That certainly is a racy cam.

I threw in new springs and weights around Christmas, then it got cold. It ran better with stock weights and lighter springs, but I haven't changed it back yet. I dont do anything when it's cold, screw it. It will be there in May. I'm married, who the hell am I trying to impress anyway? I hate the cold.

The swap has about 3000 miles on it so far and aside from the loping it still runs like a top.

When I saw your video, I was going to ask if you where in Utah. Then I read further.
