Good job man keep up the good work!

Tomorrow I will get the bondo work done and prep for new liner on the rear half. Once I spray the Liner, I will fab the rear bumper (simple single tube for light weight) and new quarter panel protection. Then move on to the cage. I am trying to salvage the bent A pillars, but if unsuccessful, I have a donor standing by. After cage, then finish the liner and move on to the tube doors, all 4. Lots of work ahead but I will be out of town the next two weekends so progress will slow a bit.

Thanks! I should have this thing put together within a month so I still want to meet up and do the 'Con in October. :bounce:

That would be awesome "the stunts" and "93yotasr5" is also going so I hope you can join us it should be a fun trip!

Time to help a friend

Today's progress wasn't about me. Due to the fact I have bobbed the rear end, my 4x4Labs bumper with integrated quarter panel protection needed a good home. A good friend, Mike, purchased it from me and today we installed it.

I will wait until later in the day when it cools down before I tackle some bondo work.

Here's a couple picks. Nuthin' like 3 landcruisers in the driveway, :D

Wow, definitely on it's way to badass status!

I vote for doing something like what Tapage did on his Tencha rig if you can pull it off (but with an 80 obviously). I've been tempted to buy and do this to an un-rolled rig it looks so good!

Wow, that is one sweet 60! I would love to have a soft top that fit that tight for the winter months as I use my 80 to get to my cabin when it snows heavily. I will have to ask Tapage where he sourced it. Thanks for sharing.

In his thread he says it was made by a local craftsman.

thanks Derrick .. I'm flattered ..

My soft top was custom made down here in Panamá ... was build around and over my cage, by a guy that make 'em for boats .. he use boat material, and been holding quite well since was done ( 6 years ago or so ) my only complaint could be against the " clear " ( not clear anymore ) material he use for windows which won't hold well against mud, sun and age ..

it reminds pretty tight today and little to none flapping at HW speeds .. it's hot when you got caught under our tropical sun and climate .. have plans to do some sort of insulation, but didn't manage to do that yet ..
