This will be cool to see. It's amazing how your rig has changed over the past couple years. IIRC you bought a tube bender. That will come in handy.

Wow Derrick! You are off to a good start. I know it will turn out really nice. Looking forward to watching the progress!

Let me know when you need to go DOM shopping. I'll give you a ride to Summit steel. Sorry I missed the sawzall party.

Looks like a new chapter in the life of my favorite rig on the forum.
Glad everyone was ok.
I like the look of the full length cage top with simple well done canvas. That's what I would do, if I had your skills, and lived in So-Cal...

Good luck, looking forward to whatever you come up with.

First, thanks for all the well wishes. I am very thankful my kids and I were OK. My kids actually told me it was a great weekend wheeling and the flop was fun, like a roller coaster ride. I am glad I didn't traumatize them. I would have hated to scare them off.

As for the progress, I'll admit I am a little OCD and when I get a new idea in my head, I like to plow through it 'til it's finished so I can enjoy it sooner. :bounce:

You are a little late. I have already placed my order with Pat. 6 - 20' sticks of 2" x .120 for the cage and 4 - 20' sticks of 1.75" x .120 for the tube doors. My next few weekends are booked!

Were you on Holcomb going west on Saturday June 30?

Yes, that was me. Were you one of the 3 80s we stopped and helped out? I flopped about 2 hours after we saw you. We descended to Deep Creek and had lunch then returned back up the trail.

Yes, exactly! We headed the other direction, lunch at the shooting range spot, and ran Gold Mtn then home.

Glad to see you are ok ... rolled going down Dishpan then? On the left side of the waterfall or through the rocks on the right?

Nope, went down it fine and had lunch at the creek. On the return trip up, I went straight up the waterfall and flopped it after I crested it. Sank the DS front tire in a hole and over she went.
