Since my USDS flare got torn off at CMCC 06, I decided this was the opportune time to take the rest of them off (sitting in garbage can) and Herculine the entire rig.

Real easy to do. Wash rig. Tape off area to be painted. DA the area to be painted with a light (120 ish) grit paper. Paint. Let dry for about an hour or so. 2nd coat. Let dry. Pull tape off. You are done.

Next is the interior which should be much more difficult.

Herculiner looks and feels great. I'm very satisfied with the new look of the truck (as well as the fact that the OEM gold pinstriping is gone as well as all of the "natural" pinstriping.)

Best regards.

I like black on black. I wonder how it looks under natural light.
Congrats

Thanks Alvaro.

Natural light pics tomorrow. Also, I'll get to see how hot this sucker gets in ~100 degree or so heat/humidity.

I don't like it but I would want to see more pics of your CB set up.

To each his own....

Cobra attached to a firestick. Cobra is velcroed to dashboard. Firestick is on ARB mount and wire fed through firewall grommet.

Nothing extraordinary. Pretty simple set up. Wired to 2nd Battery.

Best.

I don't believe so....I think the UV top coat can be purchased separately.

To be honest, I could care less about any color changes due to sun rays....s***, everything is going down the tubes anyway... :flipoff2:

I dig it already. Once I get a rear bumper, I am going to do the rear tail gate as well.

Best.

Nice!! I like how high up you went. I plan on doing the rest of my rig eventually, in a light gray.

Yeah, I wanted to cover up that damn gold bling-bling OEM pinstriping....that stuff bothered the crap out of me.....

Now it is gone.

Depending on how it wears, I might go ahead and do the roof and the rest of the quarters as well.

Thanks Alvin!

After nearly a year in the AZ sun, the portion of Durabak on my hood is showing some signs of heat/sun damage. It's not cracked, per say, but has a crackled look to it. Only the part where I went over the hood.

Can't tell if you plugged the holes from the flares. If you didn't, Lowe's sells black plugs that press right into the holes (may require a little rounding with a drill). Keeps the water out of the body panels.

I like the look, thumbs up!

I was going to weld them, but I decided to just figure out some other route.

Well, looks like I now have that route....

Thanks for the info. Lowe's trip tomorrow.

Best.

Nice job! Dont' throw away your fender flares, somebody still might want them.

You are a brave man. I think I like it. I think if you keep wheeling on the east coast it'll be a good thing with all the tight trails and trees. One nice thing is that the little bastards that ride in the back seats of other SUV's won't ding your rig when they open the door.
