Do these seem to be too much when driving? I have been debating between the outside mounting ones and in-channel ones until the past 2 days. I have received feedback that the in-channel ones seem to be the best option considering all factors. However, when I look at your pic, 1 - I love the transparency of them...they look really good with the truck, but 2- they seem really long. Does it bother you when driving? I ask because I was in a car today that had ventvisors and they seemed to be an "extra" thing blocking the view when looking out the window and I hadn't even thought about that factor. I originally wanted really wide/long visors but decided with shorter/smaller ones. These are the ones that I am probably going to be installing, which don't seem too wide or long, but just curious about your experience. I bought 2 pairs (in-channel and outside mounting ones) because I was still undecided but I am pretty sure that I'll be returning the outside mounting ones and keeping the in-channel ones after reading everyone's thoughts. BUT, after being in someone else's car today then seeing your pic, I just wondered.
You get used to them quickly, and I LOVE them! I like having the windows open when driving, and these allow me to keep the windows at least cracked when it's raining, and deep into the fall when the temps are nearing freezing. If some window visor is good, more is better, right? I can't say what a smaller visor would be like as my only experience on these trucks are the big JDM visors.
I just added some WellVisors to my GX470, they are a stick-on w/ brackets style, and hug much tighter to the vehicle than the JDM ones on my Land Cruiser, but still have some pretty decent depth to them. They work great at reducing wind noise around town and even speeds nearing highway speed. They are harder to dry the truck after washing as it's really tight to fit my hand with a towel between them and the window.
