My 94 FZJ80 cranked over this morning ran fine then ended up dying on my way back home this morning. Turn key over no lights come on dash other than lockers. Fusible link has an obvious sign of doing its job. With that being said without one now im stuck with a truck that doesn’t run. I am at the LOVES in cordes junction. Anyone in the surrounding area have a fusible link they’d be willing to bring me so I can continue on my way? Willing to pay for time parts and fuel.

Attempted to hard wire the circuit with no luck. Open to hearing what anyone has to say. The $1400 tow truck does not sound great

I have one in Peoria, if you have someone who can pick it up and bring it to you. I unfortunately cannot bring it to you.

If you're at a truck stop, there should be plenty of wire supplies and tools available to hardwire/bypass the fusible link... can you explain what didn't work with your bypass attempt?

Ran solid wire where the fusible link would complete the circuit. No luck

Did you run wire for all 3 leads on the fusible link? That should do the trick if the fusible link is the problem. If that didn't fix it, it sounds like you have an issue other than the fusible link.

Can you verify that the battery has sufficient charge?

Have you checked for proper connection or possible corrosion on the main battery cable connections?

Got all 3 wires back together. Truck started had a super low rumble idle at close to 500rpm. Tried to move the truck under its power. Truck died. Link failed again

What gauge wire did you use? Do you have a multimeter with you that you can check for shorts? I have several fusible links, but you are closer to phoenix than to me.

So it's burning up the wire you splice in place of the fusible link? If so there's likely a dead short somewhere and that's no bueno. I think you're stuck until you can find what's shorting things out...

Long story short. Took the truck through a bunch of mud. Forgot that I had my o2 sensors unplugged. Water got into the plug causing a short. Guy from the AZ Land Cruiser Facebook page ran me up a brand new fusible link the second I hooked it up it fried. Ended up hardwiring in the 3 wires. Drove it home at highway speeds no problem. Just had my eight hand clutching my fire extinguisher Lol

shout-out to the helper is in order
