craigslist FJ80

I'm looking at the 80 and wanted to get yalls opinion on whether or not this is worth a look. It's about a 2 1/2hr drive for one of my buddies. I know it's hard to tell from just pics and a description. The owner isn't a very good historian on the vehicle.

When considering that an atv costs around the same I'd say it's a bargain.

Just judging from the pictures, I'd say it's worth a strong look. Go to SLEE's website and download their checklist on what to look for on inspection. It's over 20 years old, so you're going to expect oil seepage and maybe even a leak or two underneath, but as long as there is no frame rust, and that body and interior appear to be in very good condition, I'd say you've got yourself a really good rig there.

Been on c/l for a while, and they've dropped their asking price from their original post. Pics look good, and the price point seems more than fair for trucks in this area. I'd offer to check it out for a fellow mudder if it weren't a 2 1/2 hour drive north myself. I know, because I purchased my 40 from a guy in Muncie! Let us know how you come out.
