Looking for a project that can be daily driven immediately. Of course I prefer the fzj, I'm perfectly happy with an fj. Must be rust free and run. Must have working ac. Not worried about any type of mods as I want to build this for myself. If it has a lift, that's ok. Prefer to stay around $5k and under.

You are probably in FJ80 territory at $5k. I bought a '91 in 2016 for $5k. It was running good when I bought it, but still needed to be baselined though. Food for thought, a new set of good tires plus spare for these rigs is now approaching $1k these days. I think an FZJ80 selling for $5k would be pretty clapped out.
You might get lucky with a local listing though. Do you have a local Land Cruiser group you could reach out to?
