Looking for some suggestions on how to get the smoothest finish on my turd of an FJ62. The PO had rattle canned over half of the body to hide scratches from the trail. I’m a noob went it comes to detailing so please excuse my methods up to this point. All I’m trying to accomplish is smoothing out the existing paint as much as possible.
Methods I’ve used so far:
- Acetone with a scotch brite pad
- dry and wet sanding to remove heavy spray paint (probably with some ridiculous grit for a car body)
This is what’s left. Kind of just embracing the patina look - but what should be my next steps in smoothing the finish?
